Professional Development

I entered the Learning, Design, and Technology doctoral program with the goal of helping teachers integrate technology into their classrooms in a transformative way.  Since then, I have discovered that there is much for me to learn about this field and I would like my work to have some sort of a social impact to improve the educational experience of low-income students by helping their teachers.

Goals

By the time I get my degree I hope to:

  1. Teach undergraduate educational technology courses to gain college-level teaching experience.

  2. Obtain leadership, management, and faculty development experience.

  3. Publish a journal article in Educational Technology Research and Development and the International Journal of Multicultural Education about the necessity of designing a curriculum that is culturally responsive through the facilitation of technology integration.

  4. Design professional workshops for educators that combine innovative teaching strategies with technology integration.
